"Anyware University" Workshop To Offer Insight on Emerging Mobile Computing Technologies

Anyware Mobile Solutions, Sprint PCS, Symbol Technologies and Industrial Solutions Inc. are hosting a free "Anyware University" technology workshop from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14 at the Doubletree Hotel at Warren Place, 6110 S. Yale Ave.

The quarterly Anyware University is a comprehensive review of emerging mobile computing applications and technologies. The educational workshop will feature:

• A synopsis of the evolution of PDAs, smartphones, wireless networks, mobile applications, enterprise applications and reporting
• An overview of the rapid growth and benefits of paperless processes
• Case studies of successful mobile computing initiatives
• Individual workstations where attendees can view some of the latest mobile computing technology
• Feedback from industry leaders
• The forum also will provide a business and technical view of cost-reducing techniques and methods in small group settings. Lunch and workshop materials are provided at no charge.
