Overview
A large propane delivery company needed a method by which their drivers could be given a daily driving assignment to check and fill the propane tanks of their various customers. Through our proven Solution Services Methodology, Anyware reengineered the current business process and implemented enabling technology to provide a paperless system, allowing for on-site invoicing and accurate data collection.

Business Issues
Historically, delivery routes where generated daily and assigned to the drivers. During each stop, the driver would check and record propane levels, then fill the tank to the maximum levels. This information was manually recorded and an invoice was hand written on site, which required the driver to calculate the proper pricing based on product sold, the customer’s specific pricing contract and sales tax. Once the driver returned to the shop the records and invoices were manually entered into the company’s accounting system. Miscalculations on the hand written invoices and office re-keying mistakes were becoming a bigger problem.

Anyware Solution
Our Solution enabled the company to give each driver a complete driving route each day and allowed the driver to fill the propane tanks that needed filling and instantly print an invoice for the customer while still in the field. The project exceeded the client’s expectations by reducing the amount of math that was previously required of the drivers while they were invoicing a client and helped improve the accuracy of the data that the drivers put into the mobile device. Additionally, the data could then be easily downloaded into their general accounting system when the driver returned to base each night.
